Avoiding Scams with Internet Marketing

If you have a company online and you are looking for advertising techniques for your business, there are many things you can do to ensure that you are not scammed. There are many scams on the web. The best way to ensure you are not scammed include ask for portfolios, be willing to pay for quality, and be a trustworthy client.
Trusting someone on the web is very difficult to do. A writer or a consultant has a hard time trusting someone looking for articles because there are so many people scamming them. For example, a company might post a listing for an article writer to write about USCIS immigrant instructions. Writers will bid on the job and the company will then ask for samples regarding US Green Card and along the same topic. Writers will send in their samples and the person will close the job and use the samples given as their content. This rips off the writers and causes them not to trust a business. However, you want to see samples right? Always be willing to pay a writer for a sample of their writing. If you pay them, then you own the work and he or she knows they can trust you as a client.
The web has many scams with Internet marketing. You must be willing to pay for quality. Never pay for work up front in full. It isn’t common for a writer to ask for a lump sum up front. Partial payments are fine if the project is more than $500. Anyone asking for money up front without reaching certain milestones first should be questioned.
Also, keep in mind that when you are looking for internet marketing, there are many desperate people online today. The economy has turned for the worst and many people are trying to make money online. Those people who are willing to work for nothing are usually those who will give you poor quality content. If you aren’t willing to pay a few cents per word, you will get what you pay for. It is better to pay for a quality writer up front then to learn the hard way and have to pay for quality later. Don’t let low dollar poor quality content affect the success of your online business. Be willing to pay for experienced writers and not just anyone. These aren’t scammers but honest people willing to do anything. Unfortunately, writing is a skill and not everyone has that skill.
When looking for writers and people to do your internet marketing, there are plenty of classified sites that you can post to. There are many freelance sites that allow anyone to advertise and bid on jobs in that can give your company a poor image. Don’t use freelance sites if they appear to have an abundance of low dollar jobs on them. This is where the poor quality writers can be found you don’t want your business to be associated with this type of site. Post your own free advertisements when looking for marketing. Have a writer or business give you samples of work from website links or pay them for samples that you can use. Don’t sign a contract until you are happy that you have found the right person.
